Kids to Hire was started by a 12-year-old kid named Henry who loves to help neighbors with their chores – yard work, shoveling snow, window washing, pet care, and more. He realized that he could make quite a bit of money, and at the same time help those who needed jobs done. He struck up friendships with adults along the way, who often complimented him on his work ethic and shared stories about their careers and hobbies. Often, Henry realized that many adults – especially older ones – really needed help. He started volunteering to help those in special need free of charge.
Once Henry’s friends saw what he was doing, they wanted to do it too. And Henry realized that many adults needed a lot of work done! So, he decided to start Kids to Hire to help both kids and teens make money, learn about hard work and responsibility, and connect with those in their local neighborhoods. And he wanted to help adults get odd chores done easily, while supporting their local neighborhood and kids’ development and growth.
Henry asked for help from his grandfather to start Kids to Hire, as his grandfather had successfully started many businesses in the past. His grandfather was so excited by the idea, as he needed all kinds of help but had trouble finding anyone to help him.
Kids to Hire is a labor of love between a grandfather and a grandson who hope to help connect kids and teens with adults in local neighborhoods.
